ART AT THE
SERVICE OF GOOD

The most beautiful seventeenth-century palazzo in the heart of Naples’ fascinating historic center houses Caravaggio’s masterpiece “The Seven Works of Mercy” which is crowned by six other masterpieces by seventeenth-century Neapolitan masters.

The palazzo has continued to be the headquarters of the Pio Monte della Misericordia since its founding in 1602 by seven benevolent young Neapolitan nobleman to provide concrete assistance to the needs of a large part of the population suffering from poverty.

In the wake of a centuries-old tradition, today we are also a modern, fully-inclusive museum, where beauty continues to inspire good which is achieved in effective results through social programs, solidarity, educational and inclusive projects and initiatives.
